Henny Penny Wisdom

HELLO, My Name is Henny Penny Sandra... and I run to and fro shouting the sky is falling....

The day we were waiting to find out if and when and who would do Bob's surgery,  I opened my tablet and read these words on Respice, Prospice post...

"We work so hard at being in control while things just keep being hurled at us, proving that we're not."  So, we worry.  We fret about the things that scare us.  And then we worry some more.

Hello, My Name is Henny Penny Sandra.. I ran smaller circles after reading the above quote.

and the week before I found this quote, somewhere,  Copied it and saved it.

Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

I am now looking back and the circles have stopped. Until The Next Time..

Yo are so right. And not only that, sometimes we will not understand until we are gone. And then we will not care, because we will never fret, pace or cry again. Only joy and love. Not bad for two racing chickens.

I like both of the quotes and they are so very true. When things get crazy and I start to fret my favorite saying to tell myself is "let go and let God." It's a nice reminder that I am not the one controlling things.
Love the little cartoon, cracked me up

Those are good words. I was praying this morning for my grown kids, and realized that all they go through, God will use to strengthen their faith, just like he has with me. God bless you. Have a restful Sunday.

Hello, it is hard not to worry. I like having some control. I love both quotes and the cute beaver cartoon. Wishing for all happy times ahead.

Happy Sunday, enjoy your day.

Yes the Lord is in control. Lately as I open my emails.
I get more and more stressed things to read that is happening from close friends and family.

Know sooner I pray for a Amen another one comes to pray about. Last night the Ambulance came early morning. Sid asked who at coffee hour downstairs who was it. Again one of my dear friends fell and the other one I did not know.

Now after my operation myself I am truly finding it hard to digest sadness. So for sure I have to ask the good Lord to give me strength. One operation from a friend who went terribly wrong. Family is by his side. Another one. A scan showed something devastating.

Your little carton is cute and your quotes I agree with.

Now I just have to have faith more excepting hardships that are told to me. All part of life .

Enjoy your Sunday Sandra.

I am taking this advice too.
At least my circles are smaller.
Worry sure never gets me any where.
I have to tell myself that God's got this and He is never surprised at what is happening.
Have a great week Sandra.

Good morning Sandra!

I'm so touched that the first quote eased your mind a bit. 'Wish I could take credit ... it actually came from Judy Glasser's blog (www.MyFamilyBleedsBlue.com) shortly after her son was killed in the line of duty. Not so sure I would have her strength.

That second quote is definitely a keeper ... going up on my cork board tonight! What an extraordinary, ordinary life I've been blessed with.

Both quotes are great and so are those beavers. I collect quotes and the wise words in them are a help. I am glad that first one helped you.

Love both quotes and I adore the cartoon. Andy had a minor fender bender today and we are doing the Henny Penny thing.

Dam....Love the cartoon!!

And the quote is really something to live by if only we could. There's a glitch in that somewhere, like a loophole a lawyer would find. Dunno where, but I will remember this and try and live it.

I'll be taking Mother to the nursing home tomorrow and she is happy about it! God truly has a way of working things out. ALL things!
